Its extremely important to look after your AGA cooker with regular servicing. For Gas you will need your AGA servicing once every 12 months As Approved AGA engineers we carry out a high standard of servicing. All of our parts are directly supplied by AGA and all of our services come with a standard 12 month guarantee on arts and labour.

AGA Gas service

Below is a quick breakdown of what we do on our gas AGA services.

Cleaning out the first section of the flue and diverter
Testing all safety devices
Testing all operational parts e.g multi control valve, solenoid etc
Cleaning burner and injector
Testing all gas fittings for leaks
Replacing any faulty parts
Gas pressure test
Gas tightness test
Cleaning of any fans (if the appliance has one)
Relighting and checking flame
Checking flue terminal
Kw rating
Cleaning thermometer glass
Checking seals and doors
Checking and topping insulation, if required
Service work sheet and guarantee on completion

AGA Electrical Service

For your Electric AGA you won’t need to service as often. Its recommended to have a service once every 2 to 3 years . this ensures that an engineer can find any faults that you may be unaware of and test all of the components.

AGA Repair

If you are in need of an AGA repair then Six Counties can get you up and running within one visit. Approved AGA engineers Max and Josh carry extensive stock on their vans. These are constantly updated and restocked to ensure that whatever fault we come across we can repair on the day. All of our repairs come with a 12 month guarantee on parts and labour.

Here are some examples of repairs that we carry out on a daily basis.

Gas AGA has gone out and won’t relight / repair: Thermocouple replaced – relit and tested
Gas power flue fan has stopped working repair: replaced power flue fan or solenoid – relit and tested
Electric Total control AGA hot spot has stopped working / repair: found connection burnt out and replaced hot spot kit
Electric Dual control AGA ovens aren’t heating / repair: thermostat over heated and tripped safety device – replaced oven thermostat
13amp AGA is over heating / repair: PCB relay has stuck In the ON position / repair: replaced 13AMP tekelek PCB

As part of any repair we will carry out a full health check on the appliance during the repair to ensure everything is working correctly and advise you accordingly if we find any faults

We do not charge if we cannot repair and we do not expect payment until you are satisfied with the work.

AGA Removal

If you find yourself needing to remove or dismantle your AGA then call us for any advice or work required.

Unfortunately we are removing more AGA’s than ever due to the increased cost in fuel. If you are finding that your AGA is too expensive and you are considering other options then six counties offer a full AGA removal or dismantling service.

Below is a full breakdown if what is involved and what is required from us to successfully remove your AGA.

2 Engineers roughly 2 to 3 hours for removal or dismantle. If removal is requested then everything is removed including insulation
Stripping down the AGA and stacking the enamel and cast iron separately onto a pallet that we provide
The insulation and vermiculite to be hoovered out and bagged up
Wrapped and protected if you would like to sell it on or can be readied to be removed by a scrap merchant
Capping the oil / gas / electric
Dismantling the AGA to the point where it becomes structural I.E the flue is fitted into the wall
We only remove pre cast metal plinths. We do not remove concrete / tiled plinths
If the AGA is connected to the hot water system then it will need to be disconnected and capped off by a plumber before hand

Not only was the fault diagnosed quickly and repaired, but a number of other issues were identified and repaired, which has massively improved the operation of the oven. Fantastic service and good value for money; I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
